 FEBRUARY 5, 2010 - ITS 83 from Linneus to Island Falls, Conn. 114 from ITS 83 to ITS 85 and Rte 61 from ITS 83 to 81 are groomed and fairly good condition, some areas in need of snow from the past rain and warm spell.   Rte 62 A from Conn. 114 (North of Knowles Corner) to ITS 86 groomed and in good condition. There are Logging Operations on ITS 83 in the South Oakfield Rd. area, on 61 near Drews Lake and north of Smyrna Center Rd.  Roads are plowed for short distances in these areas so PLEASE USE CAUTION AND DRIVE SLOW - LOGGING VEHICLES MAY BE PRESENT.

 JANUARY 13, 2010 - Trail 62A from Connector 114 to ITS 86 is now open and groomed both ways.

JANUARY 10, 2010 - ITS 83 has been groomed from Linneus to Island Falls. 83-A has been groomed one-way. Connector Trail 114 has been groomed one-way from ITS 83 to Knowles Corner. Connector 114 (New Trail) is open, signed and groomed both ways from Knowles Corner to ITS 85. Trail 62A from Connector 114 to ITS 86 should be open and groomed by the middle of this coming week. Rt. 61 has been groomed from Oakfield Hills to Mill Brook. There are ongoing logging operations on ITS 83 in the South Oakfield area (1.5 miles) and on Rts. 61/64 near Drews Lake (approx. 1.5 miles). CAUTION: THERE ARE STILL SOME OPEN/PARTIALLY OPEN WATER HOLES. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING ICE ON ANY OF THE TRAILS.

JANUARY 3, 2010   -  We have had to close Connector Trail 114 in the Rockabema area and re-route it for this season. Go to the box on the left for a link to a map of the new alternate trail. Prior to the recent storm ITS #83 was groomed from Linneus to the West Branch (Island Falls). Route 61 and Town Trails have been packed but not groomed. Nothing has been packed or groomed north of West Branch.
