RIDING THE SLED TRAILS OF NORTHERN MAINE

CLUBHOUSE
The Clubhouse will be open on weekends from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (except for Saturday, Feb. 18) and will also be open during school vacation week (Feb. 20th - 24th). Stop in and have a bite to eat and a drink. Also the bathrooms are WARM! If interested in helping out, please call Sandy at 757-7457.
On Friday, Feb. 17, we will be having "Kids Carnival Day". We will need some sleds & tag sleds to take the kids for a ride. If you can help out with this event please call Bob Locke at 757-8478. The kids will be arriving about 9:00 AM and the school will be supplying refreshments for them. This is something we have been doing for a number of years and is usually a lot of fun for all!
PUBLIC SUPPERS
We are planning three Saturday public suppers: Feb. 25, March 24 & April 14. Mark your calendar! Information will be put in the paper and also aired on WHOU-FM radio. We will be needing some help with the suppers - as many as possible to pitch in and make them successful. The dates do not conflict with any other area events.
TRAILS
The trails are in good shape right now. They have all been groomed and are well signed so you shouldn't get lost! Both groomers are up and running after having some repair work done to them. When you're out PLEASE watch the signs and stay on the trails. Also watch for MOOSE. Some of the riders that have stopped at the Clubhouse have reported seeing some on the trails. Stay alert, ride safe & enjoy!
MEETINGS
The next meeting is on Monday, Feb. 13 at which time we will be planning the supper for the 25th. At the Jan. 9 meeting there were only nine members present (where is everyone??). Meetings are still on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM.
MEMBERSHIP
We had 50 individual members and 12 businesses as of the Jan. 9th
meeting with some new members coming in since then. Some riders from downstate have stopped in at the Clubhouse and taken out applications as well. We still have open membership and you can get an application online. We encourage former members to RENEW your memberships and join in!
